The Gros Ventre River Ranch (http://www.grosventreriverranch.com/) is located on
Antelope Flats Road in Moose, Wyoming on the Gros Ventre River and is surrounded
by the Grand Teton Mountains. It takes 30 minutes from the Ranch to drive into the
town of Jackson Hole, and 20 minutes to drive to the entrance of The Grand Teton
National Park.

The Gros Ventre River Ranch is a small guest ranch operating during the spring and
summer months, closing early fall. It consists of a main log house for reception and
dining overlooking the Gros Ventre River. The food is basic and delicious, always
prepared by a chef willing to accommodate individual tastes and needs. The sleeping
accommodations consist of a semi-circle of 8 small log cabins surrounding a fire-pit
which is used for cook-outs during the summer. The land the ranch sits on was
purchased and is still owned by The Weber Family who built this ranch initially for
their family retreat, but have now opened it up to accommodate a small number of
guests. The daughter is active in running the reception area and her husband is the
main wrangler in charge of the stable. The Webers always meet and greet and sit
with guests for dinner and share stories.  (Great Grandfather Weber made his fortune
by inventing the 'open top freezer cases' which started to appear in supermarkets
during the fifties.)

THE WRANGLERS:  Expeperienced and pleasant young men and women
supervised by a professional and a serious minded Cowboy who emphasizes the
safety of rider guests.

THE HORSES:  A large herd of extremely well kept and trained animals suited for
riders at all skill levels.

THE RIDING PROGRAM:   Daily Morning and Afternoon rides, except on Sunday.
An all day picnic ride is scheduled once a week. The riding groups include Advanced
and Novice. (Their program is suitable for chilren over the age of 10.)

THE TRAILS:  Mountain terrain with breath taking scenery and views. River
Crossings and opportunities for looping.

I LOVE THIS RANCH AND ITS LOCATION AND HAVE RETURNED FOR A STAY
ON FIVE DIFFERENT OCCASIONS.
