Court Upgrades
There will be a community meeting March 29th at 7 pm at the Clubhouse to explain current
upgrades and discuss future plans. Financing some upgrades with donations from
community members will be solicited.
The following are already in process for 2006 opening:
- a new gate to allow better access for more frequent
rollings
- regrading of the southeast corner of the court for better
drainage
- outside curb installation at the southeast
corner of the court to prevent har-tru loss
The
following are in planning stages for 2006-2007:

regrading of
northwest corner of court to improve drainage
·
installation
of more sprinkler heads on west side of court
·
installation
of water fountain on playground side of fencing
·
tennis
clinics for adults and children
The
preparation of the MKL tennis court should be completed by mid-April, weather
permitting. Once the court is ready, the net will be raised and the weekly sign
up sheets posted.
Tennis Reminders
- Play is restricted to Mt. Kemble Lake
residents and their guests
- Use of the court is limited to tennis only
- Badges are required of all players
- Players must wear smooth soled tennis sneakers
only – that means NO running shoes, sandals, bare feet, etc.
- Players should
sign up for a court ( the court is forfeited if not claimed by 10 minutes
past the time signed up)
- After playing, please drag ENTIRE court with the
wide broom and sweep all lines
- Please DO NOT PLAY
on rain softened surface; if you leave a footmark impression on the har-tru, it means the court is too soft- please do not
play!
- Parents, please supervise young children to help
maintain our court
- Please do not forget to lock the court when you leave
- Please contact Barbara (7273) or John (0646) for
the door lock combination
