Spring Road Cleanup

Gail Chalfant

Many, many thanks to all the wonderful friends that came out and supported the annual Spring cleanup.  Some of you came to the Clubhouse for a bite before getting started and many of you came to the Cluhouse for lunch. Cacky Bell was most supportive and helpful sharing her knowledge of roads.
The roads were cleaned of branches and leaves with particular attention to the drains.  The drains were hard work, as many had to be climbed into in order to be cleaned.  I am fearful of leaving anyone out of a list, but please know how much I appreciate the efforts  of all who came out to help!

Next on the agenda will be the Summer Road Patrol — if any of you would like to volunteer I would appreciate that too!  It is for one week at a time starting Memorial Weekend through Labor Day.  One should go out twice an evening to check the beach, playground and tennis areas, Clubhouse, all roads and the water tank area. Please call me to volunteer: 973-425-9319
Thank you very much.

Lakeshore intends to undertake to maintain and upgrade the Water System. They include

1—Sandblasting and painting the water tanks.

2—Installing a generator to assure pumping in the event of power failure.
