Water
Co. Committee:
We
had talked about a meeting on Nov. 17 at our last meeting, but there are no
significant issues to discuss so we will not need to get together yet. We will
schedule a future meeting as needed.
Several
significant upgrades have been initiated:
1.
The system for controlling the water levels in the tanks was
replaced. Each pump house has a controller that
can adjust water levels based on water pressure or the float in the tank. This
gives us backup systems if one measuring system fails. An additional
warning light has been added to pump house 1 as part of this upgrade.
2.
The 110 electrical service in pump house
2 will be upgraded shortly. All the 110 was on a single line with multiple
outlets. The service was not properly grounded. The service in pump house 1 is
in good shape according to our electrician.
3.
We are evaluating replacing the flow meter in pump house 1. It
jams frequently. Jim Irving disassembled it and found a lot of wear. We will
also get an estimate on replacing some of the rusting piping in pump house 1
but this is probably a future project as funds become available (or a leak
develops).
Let
me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Rick
