Mount Kemble Lake Association

Working Meeting

October 5, 2009

Meeting was conducted electronically.

Board Members Participating:  Rick Barrett, Diane Bonar, Gail Chalfant, Barbara Coe, Austin Godfrey, Don Kuhn, Joyce Murray, Nancy Priscu, Bruce Scolnick and Bob Yingling

WATER SYSTEM

The new system for monitoring the levels in the water tanks has been installed and seems to be working fine. This should reduce the need for service calls by residents or Agra. Training on the new system has also been completed.

We are evaluating the need for an upgrade to the electrical service in pump house 2.

BEACHES AND DOCKS

Don is waiting for a determination from the state that no permit is necessary for dredging the lagoon.  Pending a response, he’s sent a RFP to three contractors who might submit bids for the work.  Hopefully, that can be accomplished in late October or November.

Ladders have been raised on the diving platforms and the floats have been put away marking the end of another beach season.

GROUNDS

Ongoing maintenance is scheduled for the remainder of the year.

HOUSEKEEPING

·        The carpet has been cleaned.

·        The oven has been repaired.

·        The vacuum has been replaced as it could not be repaired.

·        Pest treatment completed

·        Fire inspection completed.

CLUBHOUSE MAINTENANCE

·        The urinal has been repaired.

·        The floor and toilet in the ladies room have been replaced.

·        New sinks in the ladies bathroom have been ordered and should be installed by the next meeting.

ROADS

Chris Backshall, Gail and Paul Fox have been discussing a "To Do" list for the lake roads.  Fall Cleanup is scheduled for November 21st.  In the future, some work will need to be addressed at the fire lane near the boat dock on Lake Trail West.

COMMUNITY AFFAIRS

The Community Affairs Committee welcomed three new families to the Lake community: Colleen and John Roberts, who moved into the Wawczak home on LTWest; Joe and Joanne Tesi, who are beginning their renovation of the former Reusser home on LT West; and Jody Mead and Michael DiLuccia, who moved into the former Weber home on LT East. Joyce Murray and Austin were there to give them the overview of our Country Club, Association, and Lakeshore committees.

TREASURER

Cliff Bridge has resigned due to his other commitments.  Please let Bob know

if anyone interested in helping the community as Assistant Treasurer.

Our next meeting is scheduled for Monday, November 2, at 7:30.

Respectfully submitted,

Nancy Priscu
