Neighborhood Watch Reminders!
In light of recent reports of robbery attempts in Harding Township, please remember to keep a lookout for your home and your neighbor’s home as well. If you are going to be away, alert a neighbor to clean out your mailbox and pick up newspapers, or cancel them with the post office and your news service. Homes that appear occupied are less tempting targets for potential thieves. If you see anything suspicious and can’t contact your neighbor to check it out, please notify the Police Department!
Parking reminders: All vehicles should be parked on the Lake side of streets. Care should be taken to park close to the sides of roads so that emergency vehicles can pass by. Under NO circumstances should any vehicle be parked overnight on Lake properties, which include the Beach and Clubhouse parking lots. Overnight parking on any community roads should be discouraged, for safety reasons. It also goes without saying that fire lanes must be kept clear at all times!! The safety of all community members is a community concern.
Road Patrol: The Summer Road Patrol is monitoring our community roads evenings to help prevent abuses of our facilities. The beach “closes” at 10:00 pm so please adhere to that schedule. Also to avoid noise pollution in the summer months when windows are open, please keep the volume down on your stereos. Tim Lukacs, Roads Chair, is looking for Road Patrol volunteers, so give him a call if you can help. Volunteers sign up for a week at a time and do one patrol each evening after 10:00 pm. |
