In Memoriam:
Doris Bardush

Long-time resident of Lake Trail West, Doris passed away on May 12. A resident since 1977, Doris retired from her work at St. Barnabas Medical Center in 1987 and then worked for the Morris County Board of Realtors just around the corner on Rte 202. Doris and another long-time resident, Estelle Betz, were among the original “Mermaids” of the Lake.

In lieu of flowers, her family requests any memorials be sent to St. Hubert’s. (Please see the obituary on the MKL Web site.)

Signs of Spring

Marsha Heiden reported a perisitent robin’s attempt to nest in the clubhouse! The exercise group witnessed the poor bird’s persistent attempts to fly into the window off the deck. A week later Joyce Murray solved the bird’s dilemma by moving the gardenia tree outside onto the clubhouse deck. (It was warm enough by March 18th to make the move.) Apparently the bird was attempting to nest in the tree it had used last year but was barred from getting to it by the clubhouse windows.
