New Address for the Joneses After 37 years at the Lake, Ray and Theresa Jones have relocated to the assisted living facility Mill Gardens, 36 Faner Road, #130, Midland Park, NJ, 07432. Theresa can temporarily be reached at 973 590 0612. Ray will join her after his release from the Mt Kemble Avenue rehab facility.
If anyone plans to visit them at Mill Gardens, please let Mick and Cassy (cmerenda@verizon.net, mmerenda@verizon.net) know, as there may be items to take to them from MKL. Our best wishes go to them at their new location!

In Memoriam Bud May, Cindy Manz’s dad and former Mt. Kemble Lake resident of Primrose Trail, died on December 26, 2012, at age 98. He and his wife Norma moved to Mt. Kemble Lake in 1953. Norma passed away in 2002.
Jean May (Cairns) Bradley, former resident of Elm Trail at Mt. Kemble Lake, died at age 98 in Buckingham, Pennsylvania, on February 21. Jean and her well-known artist husband John were residents of Mt. Kemble Lake for 50 years.

Guy Bowden Turns 90 An Open House Brunch will be held at the Clubhouse on Sunday, April 7th, from 11am-3pm, to start the celebrations. Also, an Alaskan cruise from Anchorage is planned for July 29 to August 5 to celebrate Guy’s birthday. See the Mt. Kemble Lake web site for details about these events!

Harding Twp. Health Department Offers Health Screenings The clinics are for residents 18 years of age and older. Appointments are necessary, so call 973-267-8000, ext. 1968. All screenings are held at the Municipal Building.
Female Cancer Screening will be offered on Thursday, March 28, from 9 am to 11 am.
Male Cancer Screening is scheduled for Wednesday, April 17, from 5 pm to 6 pm.
An Adult Health Fasting Bloodwork Clinic will be held on Thursday, April 25, from 8 am to 11 am.

Ticks are out there... The mild (weird?) winter has made a tick outbreak likely, so be on guard for the seed ticks that spread Lyme Disease. Check your pets when they come in from yards and woods. |
