Country Club Elections

At the annual meeting of the Mt. Kemble Lake Country Club on June 28, Alison Maxwell was re-elected as secretary, and Bill Haynesworth was elected to serve as treasurer. Former treasurer David Dietz was thanked for his many years of service at that post. Thanks to our Country Club board for keeping our community in good spirits through our club events.

Summertime…..

The annual 4th of July games and picnic featured a boat competition as well as many fun events for the children.  Above, West Side wins the annual tug of war. The Heidens’ “Chinese junk” won the adult boat competition, and the Roberts’ “4th of July” boat won the youth prize. Thanks to Tawnya Kabnick for MC’ing the events!

On July 14 the events continued with a softball game held at Barrett Field. See photos next page for more of the summertime festivities at the Lake!

                                                                                                      …..and the livin’ is easy……!

Water Company remains
in community hands!

At the special election on June 14 the community voted to retain ownership of our water system. Many thanks to members of the Water Committee for  investigating the pros and cons of selling our system to a commercial operation.  Rick Barrett, Water Chair, has ordered a Kohler gas generator that will serve as backup in the event of future power outages.
