It is with sadness that we pass along the news
that Dorothy “Dottie” Jennie Scott, wife of longtime chemistry professor Donald
A. Scott, has died.
Dottie Scott, of
Denville, died on December 29, 2013. She was the widow of Professor Scott, the
former chair of Drew’s chemistry department and chair
of the science division. Professor Scott died in August 2009.
Their daughter,
Rebecca Scott, along with her sister Meena Scott of
Santa Fe, are planning a memorial service for their mother on January 26, 2014, at 2 p.m. at The
Church of the Redeemer in Morristown.
The memorial service
will feature chocolate cake and balloons, which was her mother’s request, says
Rebecca.
