Doris Bardusch

1920 – May 12, 2012

Doris Albray was born in 1920.  Her parents, Raymonde and Florence, had been in Maplewood for several years by then.  Doris attended Beards' school (in Orange at the time), then went on to major in Psychology at Sweet Briar in Virginia.  After graduating, she took a job at Bull Steamship Lines.

She met and married William E Bardusch Jr. in 1948.  She had two children, a daughter Deb and a son Ted.  She went back to work in 1964, becoming Director of Admissions at St. Barnabas Medical Center until retiring in 1987.  She then spent another fifteen years working at the nearby Morris County Board of Realtors.

In 1977 she moved from her childhood home in Maplewood to her "forever" home here at Mt. Kemble Lake.  She loved her time here enormously.  While she still had full mobility, she was quite active in the Mt. Kemble Lake Association and was often seen swimming or walking her dogs around.  After several bouts of Lyme Disease, her mobility was severely restricted, and she became more of a homebody.

She passed away on May 12, 2012 of complications from a stroke suffered two weeks earlier.  Her son was with her when she passed.

At her strong direction, there will be no funeral.  In lieu of flowers, she requests any memorial be made to St. Huberts.

She is survived by her children and grandchildren, plus her dear friends Bill Manser and Dr. John Hatch.

She will be missed by all who knew her.
