Ducks at MKL – Spring 2015

We’ve had lots of ducks at the lake this year. Particularly fun to see were some common mergansers. The males were quite white-sided and easily visible. They only stayed for a week or so. Also making an appearance were Ring-Neck Ducks. Usually they show up in mid-March, but this year they were delayed, perhaps because of that “refreshing” winter we had! They’re very cute, often diving with a sort of initial “hop” as they go under.We have lots of other types of ducks at MKL over the years.
