2009-2011 Finance Committee

The Finance Committee (FC) was convened to study our Community’s needs with regard to the long-term maintenance of our larger assets (dam, roads, water system, etc.) and the related financial challenges.  The effort spanned several years and went repeatedly to the Community for socialization of ideas, input from Members, progress reports and proposal presentations.

At a Special Meeting on April 27, 2011, the Members voted to establish a Cash Reserve dedicated exclusively to large capital improvements. The reserve is funded by a quarterly Member Assessments, New Member Fees and property tax savings realized by placing undeveloped lots into conservation easements.  Funds can only be released by Member vote.
