In Memoriam: Bill Manser

William “Bill” Manser, 51 Lake Trail W., was found unresponsive in his home yesterday, March 5th, by concerned neighbors.  Responding Harding police, New Vernon First Aiders and Morristown Paramedics were unable to revive him and he was declared deceased of natural causes.

The Lake community has lost a significant link to the Lake’s past.  Bill was born in 1948, the son of Myrtle and Bill Sr. who had moved in to the Lake in 1947 to occupy the house built and occupied in 1927 by his grandparents, the Henry Bedfords, one of the original founders of Mt Kemble Lake.  Until recently Bill was a presence at Lake events, and over the years, he had been knowledgeable about and active in the maintenance of the water system.

His closest relative, a sister, predeceased him last year.  His nephew, James Whitney, was called and arrived later in the afternoon.  Bill was a good and helpful friend to many of his neighbors and his presence will be missed.  Services were private.
