In Memoriam, Donald Douglas

 September 15, 1936 – March 31, 2021

Former long-time MKL resident Don Douglas has died at the age of 84 after a brief illness. Don and his family lived at the corner of Beach and Primrose for over 30 years.

Don was an avid tennis player while living at the Lake and was a serious student of the play of the game. He analyzed the mechanics of each stroke in meticulous detail as only an engineer could, strived to make it easier for others to learn and share his love of the game. He was happy to provide lessons to interested MKLers.

He also served as a daily monitor of the status of the Lake’s water system as his training as an engineer gave him active role in the maintenance of it.

He is survived by his wife Carol and children Darcy and Lori and two granddaughters. Service will be private.
